Terrifying Tempos
I love using a hallway bulletin board to teach content to kiddos! It’s Halloween time and I wanted to put something out in the hallway that was seasonally appropriate, fun, and still had included musical content. So I came up with the “Terrifying Tempos.” I printed the words out in a series of cool fonts downloaded free from dafont.com. The words “Terrifying Tempos” are spelled out in a font that looks like skeletons and the bulletin board headline reads “Terrifying Tempos: G’Autumn!” Gotta love a play on words!
The original bulletin board was pretty easy to create. I printed out the letters for the bulletin board header, ran them through the laminator, and then cut them out with hard edges on the paper cutter to try and give a sharp effect even making some in the shapes of old-timey caskets. I also printed out a variety of tempo words with very short descriptions and did the same process laminating and cutting. I added some foam ghosts (found in the Target One Spot/Dollar Aisle) and I posted them on a dark blue background. Easy and fun bulletin board for October!
Photos below are me in the process of putting up the bulletin board. I’m not done filling in empty spaces with the ghosts or adding in a few more tempos to the set. Click any image to enlarge.
