- About Me
I started my blog with the intent to share resources, begin conversations, and make connections within the music education community. It’s so rare that music teachers get to spend time with other music teachers to talk shop and borrow ideas. We need more chances to build connections and create relationships with our peers.
Before you get too far into the school routine and are swept away in the second semester madness, take a minute to breathe, set some goals, and think about how you can connect with our amazing music education community. Let this giveaway be the start to an exciting new semester!
Take this opportunity to send a message to a friend. You can start with “Check out this fun giveaway made especially for music teachers,” and then follow with “Are you excited for what’s ahead?” Start the conversations now so that you can ask questions, give/take advice, and lean on one another all year long!
This week I’m partnering with Prodigies Music Lessons to give away a Desk Bells starter Kit. One lucky teacher will win set of C Major Deskbells, the Music Prodigies Songbook 1, and Prodigies Workbook 1. These bells are colorful and make a wonderful sound.
I’ve been using the desk bells recently in my classroom and my students are in awe of them and all want a chance to try them out. I’ve use the bells in large group settings for pitch references, to play basic melodies, as attention grabbers, and as rewards for students. The bells could also be used for at-home study or in learning centers. The possibilities are endless!
